Key Club is a group at Overlea High School that gives and donates goods to people that are less fortunate. It was started by seniors Tabitha Olsen and Teovanni Morant.

“Teovanni had the idea,” said Mr. Sutton, economics teacher and advisor to Key Club. “I am just providing adult supervision.”

Key Club also gives students opportunities to gain student service learning hours if they want to help out the less fortunate.

“I like helping people,” said Tabitha Olsen (’17). “I don’t think there are enough people in the world helping other people.”

In addition to providing goods, Key Club also discusses ideas and ways to help shelters.

“Not only do we discuss plans and fundraisers which might seem boring, but it is fun to be there, especially with my friends,“ said Iris Maga (’17). “Having that generally fun and friendly environment is really great.”

Key Club meets Tuesdays in room 308.
